I know it’s another OCZ power supply unboxing right on the heels of the last one, but that just happens to be what I have on hand at the moment. This one is for my mum’s new PC. She’s been doing a lot of work at home and her laptop can’t do it anymore, so I put together a nice little machine for her and I thought this 500W SXS would be a great addition to it.
Hi thanks for posting your video blogs and tips. I was hoping maybe you might be able to help me figure out how to choose the power supply for a computer I am building. It’s actually my first building project (Never built a computer) so I am a little lost on how i should find a fitting PSU. These are the parts that I have so far. I do plan on adding 1 or 2 grafics cards in the future, a tv tuner card, and two more HDD’s. So what I want to try to do is find a power supply that will power my what I have now that will still work with what i want to add later. So I was wondering if maybe you can help me out if it was at all possible. Thanks again and great job on your tutorials and video blogs they have been extremely helpfull.
What I want to start off with
-AMD 1090T Phenom II Black Edition processor (Model#HDT90ZFBGRBOX)
-Gigabyte Mother Board

-Seagate Barracuda 500 GB@7200 RPM
(model3ST3500418AS)
-Coller Master HAF 932 ATX full case
(RC-932-KKN3-GP)
*DVDR-W ODD not purchased yet
*I might overclock in the future
*OCZ gold 8GB Ram (2 DIMMS) Not purchased yet
