I have a Skulltrail. I use mac pro ram. I just use third party memory heat spreaders - thermaltake's spirit R2. This probably voided the warranty...but it runs much better with this coolers (and it fits the board - most important). Under load it's 50c. Idle is 38c.

Hi
its so fantastic to see you have build the dream machine up,
I have just bought a very similar specs as you have, skulltrail, 5430, 8g macpro memory.
but......i could not boot it up, and finally the PSU and the boards burns, I will get a replacement today, but again, I think I will still face the problem, would you mind to let me know the tips when you set it up please.

basically I put everything up, and also the watercooling for both CPU, but when I press the start up bottom, the board turned on for half sec and the whole thing just gone quite, then I tried to unplug the power, then tried again, same thing happened. (then I tired another thousand time, take things out and put it back) seems like it has some power supply probem. I use antec 1000W, but only have 1x8pin and 1x4pin. I plug them both anyway.

so could you let me know have I done anything wrong please. I am dying.
