I got it pretty much put together this weekend. I still have a lot to do in terms of adding games for people to demo and making sure that 3D Vision is working correctly & all that noise. It should be a very fast demo PC with the centerpiece being a GeForce GTX 275. Everything is working great even though I used some open box hardware in order to avoid opening up new stuff for demo purposes.
The Raven is actually not bad to build in at all. It’s not my favorite case from a cable management standpoint, but it’s well thought out, and I think it looks really cool in person even though it doesn’t really photograph well.

Out of curiosity, how does the Corsair CPU Cooler affect cooling?
Hello Linus,
I am building a new rig to play FFXIV with nvedia 3D on 3 27″ Monitors
I have already picked most of the stuff, undecided upon a few and got no clue about couple of things.
If you can Help me that would be great ^_^ since I am really lost.
So far I got the following:
· Case: Cooler Master HAF X
· MoBo: GA-X58A-UD9
· Cpu: Core i7-930 planning to OC to 4ghz
· 3D: nvidia 3D Vision Kit
· Cpu cooler: Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H50
· Graphic card: 2X EVGA GeForce GTX 480 Hydro Copper FTW (water block included),
I am planning to get:
· Razer Naga —- Confirmed by Customer Care that full Keyboard Mapping is available with there latest driver

I am not sure about:
· SSD for OS and FFXIV : 64GB Or 128GB Crucial RealSSD C300 2.5-inch SATA 6GB/sStill undecided or any other SSD brand if its better
· PSU: 1200w or 1500w
Things I don’t know where to begin
· Ram: 1600, 1800,1866 or 2000 ? from Corsair Dominator
· VGA & MOBO Water Cooling: I don’t know much about it. would welcome any suggestion.
options are
2x Thermaltake Bigwater 760i —- one for each VGA card
or EX2-1050BK
or ProWater 850i (one or two i don’t know )
or Building it up myself
For the monitors I am planning to get the 27” ASUS supporting 3d (unreleased yet), hopefully it will be out before the game, else I’ll get an Alienware OptX AW2310 till the 27″ is out.
I don’t want to bottle neck my system performance yet I don’t want to spend more than what I have to to reach my 3D surrounding setup.
what I’m aiming for is 3d with higher than default settings for the game.
Thanks in advance and any help/suggestion/link is appreciated.
and finally i really like your work and what you do its really fun since i am sure your doing something you love
P.S: I am from Saudi Arabia .. but graduted from UNB in Canada … and man i miss Canada ^_^
Regards,
Faisal
