The Antec Earthwatts 650W is a very popular unit right now so I thought I’d give my viewers a chance to check it out. I’m also trying out a new camera, so we’ll see how the quality is.

Still in search of a camera that takes good quality video indoors and can focus up close without too much hassle. One of my co-workers says this one has a pretty good video mode, so I figured I’d give it a shot.

Antec Spot Cool Computer Fan Unboxing

So the spot cool has been around a long time, but I thought I’d take a couple minutes and show our viewers the “what’s what” about this neat little device. Basically it’s for “cooling a spot”

Also in this episode I’m testing the camera that we unboxed here. I’m not very impressed.

Samsung SMX-F30 Camcorder Unboxing

I’m in search of a low-cost new camera. I’ll be trying out a few different options, but since the weather is getting worse all the time, I’ll have to film more videos inside.

I’m looking for something that can focus up close with indoor lighting pretty much…

The only difference may be the sticker that comes on the heatsink, but here’s the Gigabyte version of the Radeon HD 5850!

Tech Tips is returning to its roots a little bit. This is a small hint of things to come. We are going to try to do more investigation and explanation of the technology rather than focusing on products so much. You see with the 5870 episode we focused more on the new technologies rather than the product itself. I think that allowing more “product oriented” videos to go out via the video blog, we can touch on a lot of the deeper issues on NCIX Tech Tips.

Next scheduled episode is on “why you should use a UPS with your gaming PC”

Radeon HD 5870 vs 5850 Length Specs Comparsion

Thought I’d do a quick video showing both of these cards together and talking about how they compare since people seem to be so interested in them these days.

Radeon HD 5850 1GB ATI Video Card XFX Unboxing

Well we unboxed the 5870 about a week ago and now the 5850 is FINALLY in our warehouse! It’s the smaller, cheaper, almost-as-awesome little brother to the 5870.

Made progress on the 3D Vision demo PC for our new store

Posted by: Linus on 4th October 2009

I got it pretty much put together this weekend. I still have a lot to do in terms of adding games for people to demo and making sure that 3D Vision is working correctly & all that noise. It should be a very fast demo PC with the centerpiece being a GeForce GTX 275. Everything is working great even though I used some open box hardware in order to avoid opening up new stuff for demo purposes.

The Raven is actually not bad to build in at all. It’s not my favorite case from a cable management standpoint, but it’s well thought out, and I think it looks really cool in person even though it doesn’t really photograph well.

Kicker EB141 Ear Bud Earphones Unboxing

Posted by: Linus on 4th October 2009

The cameraman bought some ear buds, so I figured we’d better unbox them on camera! I’m not sure how interested people will be in these things, but I’m always looking for cool new stuff to unbox.
