Archive for October, 2009Windows 7 Downgrade TutorialPosted by: Linus on 30th October 2009Contrary to all of the other information I was able to find (on official documents AND on the internet) you are NOT supposed to install Windows XP first, then request a downgrade from the product activation center. You are supposed to call Microsoft Customer Service at 1-800-936-5700 and request a downgrade BEFORE you install Windows XP. Popcorn Hour C-200 Internal Components & FeaturesPosted by: Linus on 30th October 2009My C-200 video didn’t go into as much depth about what makes this unit new and interested as I would have liked, so I took some time to further investigate the “guts” of the C-200. Popcorn Hour C-200 Networked Media Tank UnboxingPosted by: Linus on 29th October 2009I’m pretty excited to bring you my Popcorn Hour C-200 unboxing. I was very impressed with the original Popcorn Hour, and I can imagine this new one is more of the same & better! Intel Core i7 Extreme 975 UnboxingPosted by: Linus on 28th October 2009I know I’m a little late to the party, but I got an opportunity to get my hands on a Core i7 Extreme 975 and I thought I’d unbox it just for fun :p Windows 7 Professional Upgrade UnboxingPosted by: Linus on 27th October 2009Today I unbox a retail copy of Windows 7 Professional. Microsoft Wireless Xbox 360 PC Game Controller UnboxingPosted by: Linus on 24th October 2009So this video was shot with the Lifecam Cinema WebCam from Microsoft. That doesn’t mean I’ll be getting rid of my TJ07 machine. Just putting together a new machine for another member of the household. Iteration number one (basically only some final specs, no cable management, no liquid cooling, fail build) is done. The machine is functional but there’s a LOT of work to do… Here are some pics. I’ll be updating when I have some time to get a better video card (thinking of grabbing a 4870 X2 used at a good price) and when my special order liquid cooling parts finally arrive |
