Last Gigabyte board!! It’s been a marathon, but frankly I think ASUS’s line up will be worse. They seem to just have a whole bunch of boards with basically the same layout and feature set… Hopefully when I look more closely at them I will understand the differentiating factors much better. Without further ado here’s the Gigabyte P55-UD5!

I know everyone and their dog has tried to search for “free image resizing application”, “free anti virus”, “free file recovery” etc and been subjected to the entire malware arsenal of the entire internet (just don’t search for free smileys whatever you do).

I haven’t tested it extensively, but it helped me restore some videos that I accidently deleted from the SD card in my camera.

It’s a bit of a challenge to try to find advantages to give the regular viewers who check out my blog, but maybe I’ll reveal the upcoming videos that you can look forward to once we’re done our Gigabyte P55 unboxing series. The next group of P55 boards coming in are going to be from eVGA, so I’ll be diligently unboxing all of those as soon as I can get my grubby hands on them. Stay tuned!!

Actually it’s just filmed on a giant world map that we found near our office in the area that represents Taiwan. I hope you enjoy my coverage of the Gigabyte P55-UD6 motherboard!

Well that was really embarassing. Yesterday when I meant to upload this video, I accidently uploaded one of the takes that I wrecked. It would have been fine except that while I was uploading I deleted all of the “bad” takes from my camera including the real good take. Oh well. I took some time today and not only re-shot the P55M-UD4, but also the rest of the Gigabyte line up. I’ll be releasing the videos day by day, so stay tuned.

I’ve also got authorization now to do a LOT more unboxing/showcase videos for my blog, so basically I’ll be opening up anything I can get my hands on for your YouTube viewing enjoyment!

We just started carrying these because quite frankly we sell a lot of parts to people who assemble their own PCs, so why not sell the screwdrivers they will also need to do their assembly? We approached Picquic about carrying their drivers and they were very enthusiastic about the idea.

I realize it makes for kinda a weird video blog post, but I’ve always loved Picquic products (owned about 6 of their standard drivers when I ran my own painting business for myself and my crews) and I realize that for customers who want to get a better feel for how they work, video shows a lot more than photos.

I do a quick unboxing and first impressions of this cool new case from Lian Li. It looks really impressive, especially considering the price.

So we finally uploaded our video on the Acer Aspire Revo. I was quite impressed with this unit. It still has the limitations of the Atom processor, but it’s more tolerable because at least you can watch all of your HD content without worry about frames being dropped. If you’re expecting performance on par with a Core i7 gaming PC, then this isn’t going to light any fires, but if you’re looking for a small, silent, PC with amazing functionality for the price, this may be what you’ve been waiting for.

The response to these P55 unboxing videos has been tremendous, so I have a new goal. I’m going to do an uboxing of every P55 motherboard I can get my hands on in the weeks leading up to the P55 launch, and hopefully I’ll have them all done by about 1 week after the launch.
